If one increases the dihedral symmetry of the Chen-Gackstatter surface, the resulting surfaces converge to a translation invariant surface. The (higher order) Enneper end converge to a periodic Enneper end, and the three points with vertical normal become annular ends.

These surfaces exist for any odd number of annular ends as limits of symmetrized higher genus Chen-Gackstatter surfaces.
