The cryptic title refers to a 2-parameter family triply periodic minimal surface of genus 5 that has these surface as limits (when the first two + coalesce). They are simpler because they come only in a 1-parameter family and have lower genus.

The limits are either two doubly periodic Scherk surfaces stitched together with two catenoidal necks for each fundamental piece, or 8-ended singly periodic Scherk surfaces with simple stitches.
